It has, as always at this time of year been a very busy few weeks in the run up to Christmas. Members of the school choir walked to Southlands to entertain some of the residents and staff with some Christmas Carols and songs which were very well received.

We are approaching that 'Most wonderful time of the year' and preparations are well under way for our Christmas Fair thanks to your generosity over the last few weeks and also to our dedicated band of PTA parents who organise the event so well.

It was great to see so many parents attend our new starters evening and today the children are experiencing life in school for the first time. It is always a wonderful time when I go to speak to our new children in school and start to get to know them.

The weeks have flown by with both KS1 and KS2 completing their SAT's in school. We were very proud with the way the children approached their tests and did their best, which is all anybody can ask for.

I hope you all had a lovely break at Easter; the good weather certainly was a bonus. Year 2 children have begun their assessment tasks and Year 6 children will sit their SAT's next week and we wish them all the very best.
